Telehealth is booming! If you haven’t experienced it yet, expect to in the next few years. COVID-19 caused a lot of providers to use telehealth as an option to meet with their patients safely. But, here at Perfectly Imperfectly Counseling, we have known telehealth to be much more than that!
There are so many benefits to telehealth. Some people might nay-say telehealth therapy, but we are here to disprove them.
Telehealth therapy and Online therapy
We are a group of therapists that have loved online therapy and telehealth therapy since 2016. We remember the days when we spent way more time convincing others about its efficacy. We would pull all the research-based evidence and show our prospective clients and providers that it was fruitful and effective. We remember the clients who would take the chance and try it saying, “Wow, I’ll never go back to in-office therapy again! This is so convenient! I don’t have to drive and I can sit here with my dog and favorite blanket.”
This is just the start. Not only that, but the convenience also spills over to the therapists. We are more comfortable and not spending countless hours and money commuting to an office. We feel less stress, and we are able to provide our clients more empathy and energy.
Telehealth started years ago, but even more recently with COVID-19, we have recognized the physical safety and health benefits we all receive from it. When our clients are feeling sick, they can still meet with us. When we are feeling a little sick, we can still see clients and not harm them.

Hmm.. you know what? I totally agree with you when you said that telehealth is convenient, especially for those who live in remote area or unable to move freely. This reminds me of my aunt who’s getting older and hence doesn’t really have the ability to travel to the nearby clinic. I’ll ask her to consider this option when she makes an appointment later.
